The organisation, founded June 10th 2009, has two main activities:
- Social profit driven activities including the development of information, promotion and education around Employee Volunteering to emerge and grow as a sustainable programme within Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
- Commercial driven activities including the provision of technology and management tools enabling companies to efficiently develop and manage an Employee Volunteering Programme.
Sources of financing
- The three main financing sources are subsidies, sponsorships and proceeds from licence fees invoiced to companies for the utilisation of the connection platform including qualitative feedback and reporting tools.
- The membership is totally free of charge for the non-profit organisations.
Financial retrocession
In addition of bringing "Time Value" to the social-profit organisations through employee volunteering, Hu-Bu also wishes to bring ’Financial Value" by retroceeding a share of the proceeds generated from licence fees invoiced to companies to the social-profit organisations having demonstrated active and qualitative membership.
Why I am a Hub member
The Hub is a wonderful incubating place where a caring team and a set of solid values support a swarm of little bees deploying, day after day, tons of passion and energy to design and develop the "honey" versus "money" projects where people and planet are essential for future well-being. - Definitely proud to belong to the Hub Brussels and be a little european "Hubee"...
