Background: Had some very active years in college where, besides studying ITs and Telecom Engineering, was part of the excellence program, the entrepreneurship club and the student federation. Was a volunteer for two years at NGOs in Italy and Jerusalem, working on media and education projects focused on marginalized population. Then studied the International MBA at IE Business School with focus in Social Entrepreneurship where I was part of the winning team of the Thunderbird Sustainable Innovation Challenge 2007.
Current: Have been an innovation consultant since March 2008 at everis Business Consulting in Madrid. Have gained experience in Regional Development projects linking government, academia and business through initiatives that increase the innovation output of a region, which leads to increased competitiveness and social well-being. Specific projects include an analysis and diagnostic report of the national innovation system in Chile, feasibility analysis of innovation and entrepreneurship platforms in different regions in Spain, and delivering formation on innovation to SMEs.
Passions: Reading, studying, learning new things. Talking to smart people. Helping people in need. Discovering new cities or new corners on known cities. Contemplating non-developed natural spots. Playing any sport involving a racquet. Learning to play golf. Sailing.
